Lying Leather

These leather leggings are my new go-to. They are crazy comfy and I don't want to wear anything else!

There is something about being able to walk out of the house wearing something that, to the normal eye, may look "uncomfortable," but knowing deep down it's a lie - it's one of the most comfortable things I have in my closet. Throw this sweater on top, add the bonus blanket scarf and you really can't go wrong. I mean it's a blanket...that's a scarf... can you say genius!?

One Dress, Two Ways: Fur

This is my second look with this amazing dress and I cannot decide which look I love more, but that's the beauty of fashion - I don't have to!

Back around September, when I starting seeing fur vests in stores again, I was immediately drawn to them. But I wasn't sure if I could "pull it off," so I put it back on the racks and tried my hardest not to look back. Every time I walked into a Target (which is quite often) I'd gravitate toward the fur, and every time I'd try it on Cam would look at me with his stupid man-face and say, "I don't know... Fur?" So once again, I'd put it back on the rack. I kept seeing the look over and over again and I was just so, "UGH! I love it!" I ended up putting it on my Christmas list and as you can see...I got it and I couldn't be happier! I wasn't sure how to style it at first, and then I opened my next gift: this dress. It was just a really great Christmas for me! ;)

P.S. I say a lot that I feel like I thought I could never "pull stuff off." I was always that girl who loved new, chic trends but was always terrified to try them. I guess the truth of it is, if your willing to go out of your comfort zone, trust your gut, and not listen to any stupid-man-idiots like Cam, you'll be surprised at what you can pull together.

Let me know how you feel about fur vests below!

Over-The-Knee Kind Of Girl

This Perry Street necklace from Rocksbox is on serious repeat, repeat, repeat. It goes with literally everything, and I love it!

Now, I have never owned a pair of black boots because I'm very picky with two things in my life: food and fashion. Which means I've never been able to find pair of black boots that I like. I've also never owned a pair of boots that weren't over-the-knee - I guess I'm just an over-the-knee kind of girl. So, when I tried these on at Kohl's, I was a little weirded out when I could see my knees above the boot. But, these were also the closest I've ever come to liking/buying a pair of black boots, so when I opened them on Christmas I was super excited (and a little apprehensive) to be able to try something new! Plus, they're really growing on me and help tie this outfit together!

By the way, only two more days until the weekend!

One Dress, Two Ways: Casual

I've wanted to do this type of post for a while, but unfortunately, up until now, life has gotten in the way. I love how changing just one or two pieces can change an entire look. So, I am very excited to finally be bringing you this post!

Long sleeve dresses were high up on my Christmas list this year, (I don't own a lot of dresses, especially for the winter months, and the two dresses I do own are very old and outdated) so when I opened this on Christmas I was SUPER excited! If you can find this dress at Target I highly recommend it! It is warm, comfortable and a great length. I also love the color. It did shrink a little in the dryer, so I'd recommend hanging instead of throwing it in the dryer.

The best thing about this dress? Versatility. The lightweight fabric makes it easy to throw a jacket over it or a button down underneath. Plus, it feels a little like a sweatshirt, so it is very comfortable. It's perfect for fall, winter and spring! Throw some leggings on for the winter, a jacket for spring and a scarf for fall!

Stay tuned for look number 2!
